SHOP SMALL ART CRAWL ARTIST PARTICIPATION FORM & GUIDELINES
The Northwest Colorado Arts Council invites you to participate in the quarterly Shop Small Art Crawl event being held April 22, 2021.
We are excited to offer a venue for local artists to exhibit their work as part of the quarterly Shop Small Art Crawl event to take place on Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm within Craig’s downtown core area. The Northwest Colorado Arts Council is looking for a wide variety of art disciplines. Artists will be assigned downtown business locations to display, demonstrate and/or sell their fine arts.
All interested Northwest Colorado Arts Council artists are welcome to apply to be an exhibiting artist and are required to submit at least 2 digital images of their artwork for approval by the NWCAC board to ensure the integrity of this event. Artwork must be original work created by the exhibiting artists. Craft Kit projects or work from kits will not be accepted.
Participation fee is $10 per artist, which helps cover marketing costs associated with this event. If a new NWCAC membership is purchased in order to be an eligible event participant, the initial $10 participation fee will be waived.
The Northwest Colorado Arts Council board reserves the right to accept or deny any applicant. The $10 participation fee or new membership must be paid in full before receiving your location assignment. Each artist must comply with the needs of the business or location to which they are assigned.
The Northwest Colorado Arts Council does not require commission on sales. Artists who opt to sell are responsible for collecting and reporting all transactions for local and Colorado State Sales Tax. All selling artists will be be required to possess a current Colorado State Special Events Sales Tax License. Selling artists will also be required to fill out a City of Craig Special Events Sales Tax Form, which will be provided to you on behalf of the Northwest Colorado Arts Council. If an artist does not possess a Colorado State Special Events License, they may opt to show as display or demonstration only.
Artists are responsible for setup and take down of display area and all supplies necessary, including any needed easels, tables and chairs. Space may vary between each business location so please communicate with the assigned business location on available space. Setup needs to be completed by the 5pm start time and display take down should not begin prior to 7pm. All artists or assistants must be present at their assigned location for the duration of the Shop Small Art Crawl event.
Accepted artists will receive more information the week prior to the event to better prepare for Shop Small Art Crawl. Promotional materials will be available to all the participating artists prior to this event.

Presentation is important, so present clean, organized displays with framed and titled art which will be more inviting to the viewers and perspective buyers.
Promote! Promote! Bringing your personal art promotional materials is encouraged by the Northwest Colorado Arts Council. Consider providing postcards or flyers containing information explaining your art and creative process.
